Pakistan Railways has completed the upgrade of another passenger train, the Hazara Express, which is scheduled for inauguration on January 31. The improvements are part of ongoing efforts to enhance onboard facilities and service standards across the railway network.

Officials said the revamp includes refurbished coaches, upgraded seating, improved lighting, modernized washrooms, and better overall cleanliness to boost passenger comfort.

In a related announcement, Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi revealed that Pakistan Railways plans to export its coaches and wagons to five countries: Chile, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Ambassadors from these nations are expected to visit the Ministry of Railways this week for presentations detailing the quality and pricing of the railway’s rolling stock.

Abbasi also highlighted that Pakistan Railways achieved record revenue of Rs. 10 billion in December, crediting the milestone to enhanced passenger services and improved operational efficiency. He added that freight operations have been strengthened through partnerships with private companies, with commodities such as containers, coal, and phosphate now being transported via the railway network.
